We recently received a free sample from Ghirardelli to review and blog about. We had the pleasure to try Ghirardelli's new Chocolate Flavored Sauce. We took the opportunity to do a taste test as a family between the Ghirardelli and the "Other Brand" (not naming any names but they might be found in Pennsylvania).
First we notice some notable differences:

Please try these wonderful recipes that came with our sample of Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce!
Espresso (1-2 shots)
Steamed Milk (8-10 shots)
Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce (1.5oz or 3 Tbsp)
Combine sauce and espresso shot in a 12oz mug. Stir until well combined. Pour the steamed milk into mug. Top with froth from the steamed milk and drizzle with additional Chocolate Sauce.
*For a spicy mocha just add a small pinch of Chipotle Powder and a dash of cinnamon to the steamed milk. Tip with froth from steamed milk and drizzle with additional Chocolate Sauce.
Vanilla Ice Cream (2 scoops)
Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce (2oz or 4 Tbsp)
Barista Chips / Mini Chocolate Chips (1 Tbsp)
In a glass place 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream, add 1oz (2 Tbsp) of Chocolate Sauce. Repeat with another scoop of vanilla ice cream and add 1oz (2 Tbsp) of Chocolate Sauce and top off with the Barista Chips / Mini Chocolate Chips and Enjoy!
