Could Martian Bacteria Have Seeded Earth?

Martian Bacteria?
A headline in TIME magazine a few weeks ago was "Could Martian Bacteria Have Seeded Earth?" The article explains how life began from a "martian bacteria" that was a passenger aboard the meteorite from Mars that landed on earth. Hence, becoming the seed for every organism that ever populated the new planet including, eons later, the human species itself.

Here's the clincher:
"In which case, modern humans never have to contemplate meeting Martians again because we are the Martians." (emphasis added)

After reading the paragraphs below from a fellow brother-in-Christ, we think he hit the nail on the head:
This anything-but-God-creating-man belief is called “Panspermia,” and according to Time it is “quietly becoming a go-to area of study for astronomers and astrobiologists.”  This belief gained credibility when “a team of investigators got their hands on a few bits of that Moroccan meteorite.” This piece of rock is known as the Tissint meteorite, because it has a special mineral composition. The minor problem with the rock is that “no traces of bacteria were found,” but that didn’t stop the scientists from fantasizing. Chris Herd, a meteorite expert at the University of Alberta said that the initial blast would have killed our ancestors, saying “That would be bad news for any Martian bacteria that happened to be aboard.” So how did we make it to earth? The Herd mentality is to fall back on the good old “maybe.” He said, “Where would you expect microorganisms to be? You’d expect them to be in the fractures. Maybe water percolates there. Maybe they set up shop there like organisms that live in rocks on Earth do.” (Italics added).
Then Time says, “‘A lot has to go right,’ for bacteria to make a planet-to-planet trip, Herd concedes, but it’s by no means an impossible scenario.”  And isn’t that the truth! With the magic wand of time and a “maybe” here and there, nothing is impossible:  "And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” (2 Timothy 4:4).
"For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." 2 Peter 3:5-7

"And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:" 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11
